James Euringer (born September 7, 1969), known professionally as Jimmy Urine, is an American musician recognized as the lead singer, programmer, and chief songwriter for the electropunk band Mindless Self Indulgence (MSI), which he co‑founded in New York City in 1997. Urine has also collaborated on side projects such as The Left Rights, released a solo album under the name Euringer in 2018 featuring artists like Serj Tankian, Grimes, and Gerard Way, and composed for media including the video game Lollipop Chainsaw and the film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 .
He has been married to singer Chantal Claret since January 18, 2008; the couple have twin daughters born in June 2019. In August 2021, he faced a lawsuit alleging sexual battery of a minor over a relationship from 1997 to 1999, which was settled out of court and dismissed with prejudice in March 2024, ending legal proceedings permanently.
